If you like to have a cocktail occasionally, leave your money out of the casino if you plan to do your drinking in a casino. I am serious. Leave your pocketbook, your money belt, and leave all money, charge cards and chequebooks at home. Grab whatever money you intend to use on beverages, tips and whatever pocket change you intend to throw away and leave the rest behind.

Cynical? Not at all. Just realistic. You can experience a success after a drunken evening out with your acquaintances and be lucky enough to hit a marathon toss at a hot craps table. Don’t forget that story because it’s as brief as it gets if you consistently drink alcohol and bet. The two just do not mix.

Keeping your cash out of the casino might be a bit dramatic, but preventative measures for excessive behavior is compulsory. If you wager to succeed, then do not consume alcohol and gamble. If you are able to afford to blow your cash without a concern, then consume all the gratuitous beer you are able to handle, but do not carry plastic credit and checkbooks to throw into the mix of following losses after your hooched up self loses all the cash!
